SLP Environmental Co., Ltd (hereafter ‘SLP’) was appointed by a Multi-National Investment Fund, as part of the business transaction due diligence process, to perform environmental and social due diligence (ESDD) on a Company which operates multiple international educational institutions in Vietnam. The Reference Framework (RF) for the assignment included:

  • National regulatory requirements pertaining to Environmental and Social performance;

  • WBG Environmental, General Health and Safety Guidelines.

The primary objective of the Assignment was to identify gaps in the Company’s performance relative to the E&S benchmarks adopted for the study, and where such were identified, to prepare a clear and succinct Environmental and Social Action Plan (ESAP) with the aim of aligning the Target Company’s E&S performance with the Reference Framework requirements and good international industry practice (GIIP).
