SLP Environmental provides third party technical expert peer review and gap analysis services on behalf of project lenders and equity investors across Asia to ensure they have the environmental insights they need to inform an investment or lending decision. SLP Environmental has been retained by several leading financial institution’s to peer review borrowers proposed environmental and social assessment methodologies and other project deliverables, such as a project’s Environmental and Social Impact Assessment (ESIA) study, to check for compliance with the relevant International Financial Institution (IFI) guidelines and the regulatory environmental and social impact assessment requirements of the host nation.

SLP Environmental retains highly qualified and experienced staff across multiple disciplines including Chartered Environmentalists (CEnv), Chartered Scientists (CSci) and Members of the Chartered Institute of Water and Environmental Management (MCIWEM). SLP Environmental has also been appointed by national government agencies to peer review and perform gap analyses on complex environmental and social impact assessment reports submitted to them by project proponents and to provide general professional advisory and technical capacity building services relating to good international industry practice (GIIP) in the assessment of project impacts.

SLP Environmental, as part of an Overseas Development Agency (ODA) Technical Assistance (TA) assignment, recently co-authored the Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) Guideline for Oil and Gas Sector Projects on behalf of the Myanmar Ministry of Natural Resources and Environmental Conservation (MONREC).
